The Center For Focused Care was the first clinic of its kind in Erie, PA and began treating patients with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) back in 2018. Dr. Mathew Sipple, DO (as pictured centrally above) founded the clinic in order to provide the community with a drug-free alternative for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD). Unlike electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) TMS does not require patients to undergo anesthesia and can be performed comfortably in an outpatient office setting.
Heidi obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2005 and is TMS certified with Neurostar & Magventure and holds a certificate for the in-depth training course called “Pulses” through the TMS Society (2018 in NYC and 2019 in Vancouver). After graduating she worked in a Children’s Center as well as in the local School District working as a case manager providing assistance in the intensive juvenile delinquency program. She then worked in a hospital setting, providing mental health treatment and case management services to children, adults, and families as an inpatient case manager.
Heidi has assisted in developing new programs, as well as collaborating and serving on multiple interdisciplinary teams. She grew up in North East, PA and has been employed at the Center For Focused Care since it opened in 2018.
Julie is a graduate of Edinboro University with a degree in social work. She is our TMS treatment intake coordinator as well as certified TMS Technician herself. She is also TMS certified with Neurostar & Magventure and holds a certificate for the in-depth training course called “Pulses” through the TMS Society (2018 in NYC and 2019 in Vancouver).
